Personal Hygiene Awareness Initiative
To observe water sanitation & hygiene month, our club organised a personal hygiene kit distribution and awareness camp project at Sobuj Mon, a school run by Principal and Professors of Scottish Church College which has adopted a slum near their playground.
The kit contained detergent, soap, paste, brush, shampoo, comb, mask & cloth napkin. We explained the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in our daily lives and how they can ensure teaching this to others at their homes as well.
It was a learning experience to observe these slum children from close quarters. It was satisfying to note that the relentless efforts of professors and students of Scottish Church College have not gone in waste. Most of these kids now go to school, are imparted coaching, taught dancing, singing, etc and also get an opportunity to play in the green playground.
