The Rotary Club of Kolkata, with Garfa-Dhakuria-Haltu Jolashoy Rokkha Committee, organized an environmental awareness program. With a keen emphasis on conservation, protection, and revitalization of water bodies, the event comprised an essay competition, a speech contest, and a drawing competition, all centered around the theme of safeguarding water bodies.Local authorities, municipal committees, residents, and our club were integral participants in this event. Seeing youth engaged in environmental issues, advocating sustainable practices, and understanding biodiversity was heartening. The program ended with a street drama on environmental awareness. Our club stands committed to being active contributors to this citizen-driven movement, pledging not just a one-day effort, but ongoing dedication to the cleaning, protection, and rejuvenation of three vital water bodies in our community.
