NATIONAL IMMUNISATION DAY
VACCINE WORKS FOR ALL Theme of National Immunisation Day 3rd March 2024.
National Immunisation Day denotes the governments Pulse Polio Programme, which eradicated polio from the country. The World Health Organization (WHO) proclaimed India polio-free on the 27th of March, 2014. Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 35 years. Rotary members have contributed more than $2.1 billion and countless volunteer hours to protect nearly 3 billion children in 122 countries from this paralyzing disease.
Like every SNID & NID day RC Calcutta East Central distributed 40 nos of tiffin packet to Health Workers of KMC 27 Ward who will visit door to door to give pulse polio vaccine. Total 945 children were vaccinated.
