Participation in RID 3291 Car and Bike Rally on the National Immunization Day
To commemorate the National Immunization Day (NID) and per the directive of RID 3291, District Polio Plus Committee and the DG, club (along with its RCC members) took part in a car and bike rally from Sinthee More to Barrackpore Administrative Building. The rally was flagged off by DGND Rtn. Tapas Bhattacharya flanked by the noted physician Dr. Narayan Banerjee. This rally was jointly organized by 5 other Rotary Clubs, viz. Calcutta Sutanuti, Calcutta Empathy, Kamarhati, Kolkata Temple City and Barrackpore. Rally spanned from 10 AM to 1:30 PM and comprised of a Tabloid, 20 bikers and several cars with about 80 Rotarians. Police personnel provided a Green Corridor for the entire rally. The rally achieved the endorsement of Barrackpore Police Commissioner. Eminent health officials from Baranagar & Titagarh Municipality also graced this event at different stages of this rally.
