Cruise on the river Ganges with underprivileged children of an orphanage
On the 22nd of March Rotary club of Calcutta Avyanna organised a cruise on the river Ganges for 75 underprivileged children of an orphanage, THE REFUGE. The cruise was sponsored by club member Rotarian Tista Nath. The idea was to spend quality time with the children and treat them to some nutricious food. The cruise was for 3 hours where the children ate, danced and made merriment. They participated in an acting competition and prizes were given to the winners. The guardians of the orphanage were grateful to us and it was heart warming to see their smiling faces.
