Womens day celebration and felicitation at Dishari
In the evening of 8th March 2024, we honored 8 ladies, different spheres of our society. Mrs. Chandra Mukhopadhya, the folklorist and school teacher who promoted the Bengali folk song culture in Bengal and Assam. Next, we honored Mrs. Anima Talukdar, who is a retired headmistress of a Kalna village school, she runs an NGO, and till today, she supplies dry food for 40 students. She also won the gold medal for India in Singapore in June 2022 in 5k walking in the senior citizen category. Mrs. Aditi Dutta started her career at the age of 43 with a franchise of SIP Abacus. Now, she has 3 centers. Our next Awditiya was Mrs Shima Saha, who is a well-known voice, writes poetry, and recites her own poems. We also honored Mrs. Manashi Chatterjee and Mrs. Tandra Chakraborty is a famous singer and cultural activist. Club member Rtn. Azmira Yasmin was also felicitated. Rtn. Anindita Sarkar was honored as a marathon runner and the model of Dr. J.B. Chowdhury and Tata Steel.
