Water Filtration System
Rotary Club of Calcutta Universe installed a Water Filtration system at Kolkata Police Hospital. The superintendent of the Hospital, Dr. Partha De had informed us that they were facing problems with potable water for Thalassemic patient, Chemo Patient, their family and hospital staff, thus the members decided to install a filtration system to eradicate this problem.
Rtn Dr. Sailen Bhowmick, Charter President of the club, donated multi media - duel filter. After the preliminary water treatment the micron filter uses ( UV) ultra violet ray for sterilization of drinking water and holds a capacity of 1000 ltrs. The Storage tank also has multiple collect point.
The system is manufactured by Anir Water machinery Pvt. ltd.
The water filters system was inaugurated on 8th February 2024 in presence of District Governor Rtn. Hiralal Yadav, RID 3291
