Saree Distribution
On 24th February 2024, the village Samali, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, the Rotary Club of Calcutta Universe, in collaboration with Sarkar Trust, orchestrated Saree distribution event aimed at uplifting underprivileged women within the community. Each saree symbolized more than just clothing; it signified dignity and empowerment. Amidst smiles and heartfelt expressions of gratitude, the event unfolded seamlessly, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of both recipients and organizers alike. Through the collaborative efforts of the Rotary Club of Calcutta Universe and the Sarkar Trust, this act illuminated the path towards a brighter, more inclusive future for the underprivileged women of Samali village and to identify and support economically disadvantaged women, offering them not just a piece of clothing but a symbol of dignity and cultural identity.
