Oral hygiene awareness and dental check-up camp for mother and child
July being Mother and Child Health month in Rotary, our club Salt Lake City Calcutta organised an Oral Hygiene Awareness and Dental Check up Camp at a Baranagar pre-school run by donation from abroad for 50 under-privileged children aged between 3-6 years along with their mothers who were 35 in number.
The camp started at 2.30 pm and continued till 5.00 pm. We distributed a packet of biscuit, toothbrush, toothpaste & soap to each of the 85 beneficiaries. A few of them were advised to visit dentists for follow up treatment and in true Rotary spirit, the doctors themselves promised to treat them free at their chambers at a later date.
