Thalassaemia Treatment
Rotary Club Of Calcutta Metro City handed over Rs 30,000 for purchasing medicines for underprivileged thalassaemic patients at the Thalassaemia Society of India. The club was supported by Rtn Dr Rita Dasgupta, PDG Shyamashree Sen and PP Rtn Sunando Sen to facilitate the donation.
The donation was handed over to Mr Utpal Panda, Hony Secretary, The Thalassaemia Society of India.
The club has already facilitated substantial donations over the past 18 months for the purchase of lab equipment, medicines and implements in aid of The Thalassaemia Society of India apart from conducting thalassaemia awareness programs on a monthly basis and sensitizing elected legislators as well as the corporate sector in a major step towards a #thalassaemiafreeIndia.
