Thalassaemia Awareness
Rotary Club Of Calcutta Metro City in association with Indian Institute of Mother & Child organized a Thalassaemia Awareness session for women and young adults at Dhaki, South 24 Parganas on Matla river.
PP Rtn Subhojit Roy gave a 1 hour presentation on what is thalassaemia, how it can be prevented and the role and responsibility of every individual in eradicating thalassaemia. It was an interactive session interspersed with Q&A.
The club was represented by PP Rtn Subhojit Roy, PP Rtn Jharna Mitra, PP & PE Rtn Sunando Sen, PP Rtn Rajnish Kapoor and Rtn Dipanwita Banerjee.
At the end of the program the 100 odd audience pledged themselves to cause of Thalassaemia Free India awareness campaign of Rotary Club Of Calcutta Metro City.
