"Matri Raksha"- Fights Anaemia GG 1991152 - (Camp 41)
“Matri Raksha”– Fighting Anaemia Camp (41st camp) was held by Rotary Club of Salt Lake Metropolitan Kolkata on 3rd March, 2024, in association with Rotary Club of Calcutta Labanhrad at Atghara, Baduria.
Total 69 women were screened their Hb% level for Anaemia, High BP and Sugar by our technical team. Each patient was checked by Dr. Meghadri Sen and given free iron for 2 to 6 months to anaemic patients with deworming and calcium medicine as required. They were also told about the nutrition and balanced diet with nutritional booklet by the doctors.
According to camp analysis, 66 (96%) had haemoglobin level below 12 gm. /dl and 43 (62.3%) had severe anaemia (<10 gm.). Around 7 patients (10%) were suffering from Diabetes (DM), 8 patients (11.6%) were Hypertensive (HTN) and referred to physician for further management.
