Chessmate - Fundraising Event for Cancer & Thalassemia Patients
We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the first leg of the fundraising initiative by CHESSMATE - INDIAN CHAPTER OF ICFR and Rotary Calcutta Newbies was one of the main participant club to organize the event. The event combined the strategic brilliance of chess with a compassionate mission to support cancer and thalassemia patients (Mending the mind with chess).This is first in rotary district 3291 by CHESSMATE - INDIAN CHAPTER OF ICFR. Many clubs from district 3291 collaborated the event along with some chess academies from Kolkata and USA. Players were from Silver Point School, Mind Game Chess Academy and some enthusiastic individuals who believed we can stand for the cause. Funds raised from this event will be directed towards medical treatments, awareness campaigns, and support services for cancer and thalassemia patients.
