"Matri Raksha"- Fights Anaemia GG 1991152 - (Camp 40)
On 18.02.24, RC Salt Lake Metropolitan Kolkata organised 40th camp of “Matri Raksha–Fighting Anaemia" in association with Nimpith Ramkrishna Mission at Purba Gurguria, Baruipur, 24 Pgs (S).
After visiting the Ramakrishna Mission at Nimpith we started the camp at Purba Gurguria. Total 67 women were screened Hb% level, BP and Sugar by our technical team. Each patient was checked by Dr. Saktirupa Chakraborty, Dr. Suranjan Chakraborty, Dr. M. L. Saha and Dr. Bimalendu Sen and given free iron for 2 to 6 months to anaemic patients with deworming and calcium medicine as required. They were informed about nutritional & balanced diet with booklets.
According to camp analysis, 66 (98.5%) had haemoglobin < 12 gm. /dl and 45 (67%) had severe anaemia (<10 gm.). Around 15 patients (22.3%) were diabetic, 20 patients (30%) were Hypertensive and 7 were advised for ultrasonography.
