Menstrual health and hygiene management program.
On the 22nd of February Rotary club of Calcutta Avyanna conducted a menstrual health and hygiene management program for the girls of 5th grade at Bijoynagar, Bali island, Sundarban. More than 25 girls were present and club treasurer presented an audio visual animated program to them. All the myths prevailing in rural areas were discussed and the students were made aware of the scientific truth about the menstrual cycle. President Mandira explained the nuances of the subject. The girls were satisfied with the knowledge imparted to them. Free bio degradable sanitary napkins were distributed to them at the emd of the session .
