Cervical Cancer and Breast Cancer Screening
Rotary Club of Calcutta Empathy organized a Free Cervical Cancer and Breast Cancer Screening camp for the most vulnerable and high risk group in North Kolkata . It was conducted with the aid of CNCI , viz. Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute. CNCI provided medical expert support who executed the examinations of the beneficiaries. They also have their mobile van for executing the Mammography. The test reports are provided within a day after execution of the camp. Ideally such combination of screening tests cost Rs 3000+ Rs 4000 viz. Rs7000 which was entirely done for free . Hence, while these tests for prohibitively costly for the needy section of the society, our club with the support of CNCI could make this affordable, ,thus paving the way for treatment for those who are detected as carrying these ailments.
