Thalassemia Awareness and Screening Camp at Jadavpur University
RCCP conducted a Thalassemia Awareness and Blood Screening camp for the students of Jadavpur University in their main campus. It consisted of a presentation by Dr.Ramendu Homchaudhuri. He was joined by Dr. Saumitra Ray in the discussion.
It was followed by a voluntary blood screening camp for interested students for a free Thalassemia detection test. Blood test was done by reputed pathological lab Serum Thalassemia Prevention Federation.
More than 100 students attended the seminar and 63 of them took the screening test.
