Cancer screening camp and awareness at Sonagachhi, a red light area.
On the 4th of February 2024, Rotary Club of Calcutta Avyanna conducted the 1st cancer screening camp at Sonagachhi ( red light area) in association with Netaji Subhas Cancer Research Institute. A team of 5 oncologists, nurses, technicians and 2 counsellors did the screening with modern equipments. The local Counselor of TMC presided the event and appreciated our club efforts . More than 100 persons were screened for oral, cervical and breast cancer.
