Glaucoma check up camp
5 patients were checked for glaucoma. Three of them have already gone blind. One of them (age 13) has been detected with high Intra Ocular Pressure and needs surgical intervention urgently.
The doctors checking the patients are dedicated community opthalmologists, Dr. Asim Sil and Dr. Subhra Sil, who day in and day out, treat needy patients coming to their clinic from far off places. The patients revere them like the almighty. They travel to places to do camps and surveys. I thought RCCJ may invite the doctor duo to a meeting and placed the idea to the President who gladly agreed.
