Rotary Ganga Abhijan Initiative

On January 12th, in celebration of Swami Vivekanandas birthday, Rotary District 3281 marked the occasion with a youth-led event under the Rotary Ganga Abhijan initiative.12th January is also Youth day.
The focus was on cleaning the ghats of Chandpal and adjoining areas. The Interact Club of Rotary Club of Kolkata Benevolence named RN Singh Memorial High School actively participated in this endeavor, contributing to the Save Ganga initiative for environmental preservation.
The groups were assigned to clean 3 different ghats between Champatola and Kumartoli using pre-arranged brooms, spades for garbage collection and garbage bags for disposal. After cleaning, all garbage bags were disposed of only at municipal garbage bins available at all ghat entry points.
The interactors embarked on the project with full enthusiasm and abundant interest in community service.
Members of the Rotary club of kolkata benevolence also were present there and took the pledge to remain committed to the Ganga Abhijan in all their future endeavors.
