"Matri Raksha"- Fights Anaemia GG 1991152 - (Camp 37)
District Project “Matri Raksha”– Fighting Anaemia (37th Camp was organised by Rotary Club of Salt Lake Metropolitan Kolkata in association with Rotary Club of Serampore on 7th January, 2024 at Chowmatha Sporting Club, Badiyabti, Hooghly. Total 50 patients were registered. Doctors gave awareness talk to assembled women on Aneamia. All women were screened their Hb% level for Anaemia, High BP and Sugar by our Gynae team. Each patient was checked for anaemia by gynaecological team and given free iron tablets for 3 to 6 months, deworming and calcium medicine as prescribed along with nutritional booklets.
Out of total patients, 47 (94%) had haemoglobin level below 12 mg. /dl and 28 (56%) had severe anaemia (<10 mg.). Around 10 (20%) patients were suffering from Diabetes, 23 (46%) patients were suffering from Hypertensive and referred to physician for further management.
