STEM CELL AWARENESS
Taking things forward from Blood Donation, this highly meaningful and life saving project, envisaged by Rotary Club of Calcutta Visionaries, was declared a District project, and was joined by four other Rotary clubs as associate partners. We had Respected DG Rtn Hira Lal ji Yadav, Chief Guest, Dr Jeevan Kumar, Tata Medical Centre, as Guest of Honour. Noted celebrity Ms Rituparna Sengupta as Special Guest. The seminar was organized to create awareness on the benefits of Stem Cell Therapy and encourage people to register themselves for Stem Cell Donation. Stem Cell therapy is a lifesaving treatment for diseases like Thalassemia, leukemia, lymphoma, other cancer & other blood disorders. The event saw about 200 attendees, and about 20 Interactors. The event was It was covered by 6 Leading Print Media and 12 Online Media. A total of 132 people Donors registered themselves as life savers.
