Thalassemia Free World seminar
A thalassemia Awareness program was conducted by RC of Calcutta Sun City at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Satabarshiki Mahavidyalaya located at Helencha, North 24 Parganas which is around 110 Km from city of Kolkata. Rtn. Dr. Ramendu Hom Chowdhury was the main speaker on the subject. Other than college students it was also attended by both girls and Boys of higher classes from nearby school. It was inaugurated by Vice Principal of the College. There was an interactive session at the end of the presentation. There was also a discussion on healthy food habits and lifestyle for students. The students were asked to spread the message to their friends and relatives as to how to eradicate this dreadful disease. President of the RC of Calcutta Sun City Rtn. Anit Guhathakurta also spoke on the occasion.
