A tribute to the war veterans.
On the 6th of December Rotary club of Calcutta Avyanna organised a tree lighting ceremony in association with Hyatt Regency Kolkata in the presence of war veterans. The general manager and his wife of Hyatt honoured war veterans, Group Captain S. Purakayastha and his wife, Wing Commander D.S. Chopra and wife, Wing Commander B.K.Bose and wife and Brigadier Somnath Banerjee and his mother. Christmas carols wete sung by girls of St. Teresa followed by high tea. RC Avyanna felicitated the veterans, who were highly appreciative about our club"s gesture of gratitude towards them.
