Annual Childrens Treat
The 98th Annual Childrens Treat under the Chairmanship of PP Rtn Abhijit Kolay was a Day of Sunshine for more than 1200 underprivileged children from 22 institutions. They were brought by 19 buses donated for a day by different Calcutta schools and were treated to free rides, breakfast, health drink, lunch, icecream and goody bags sponsored by members. The Chief Guest was GOC in C Eastern Command Lt Gen KAlita who also arranged for the Army Band. After lunch children enjoyed magic show and puppet show. Lt Gen Kalita not only shared in the childrens fun but also agreed to become an honorary member of the club. 40 Interactors, Coordinators ,more than 50 Rotarians with their families enjoyed the day out.
