HPLC test for College Girl students of Jogamaya Devi College
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) test was conducted by collecting blood from 139 Students for Thalassemia Screening at Jogamaya Devi College. The students were informed about the disease as well as the procedure to avoid this dreadful disease spreading to their children both by Club President Rtn. Anit Guhathakurta and Mrs. Baisakhi Guchait,, Councillor, Thalassemia Control Unit SSKM hospital. In total 139 students came forward and registered themselves by filling a consent form and gave their blood for HPLC test, the result of which will be intimated to the respective students within one month. The test was conducted free of cost for all of them. A medical Doctor was present during the period for any emergencies.
