Prerona Protection Home Support project
Prerona Protection Home for Girls is a home for 6- 18 years old girls, run by Paschim Banga Krira O Janakalyan Parishad. The project of PBKOJP focuses on the overall development and mainstreaming of the vulnerable daughters of sex workers, street children, homeless children from red-light area and preventing them from entering into sex trade. The home focuses on empowering girls through higher studies and other life skills, for future employability.
RCCP is supporting by
1. Donating a laptop that would provide access to modern learning to the children
2. Providing new clothes to the children during the festival season
RTN Nabanita Khan is the Project lead. Other members involved are RTNs Aniruddha Bhattacharya, Atashi Karpha, Sachin Rao, Gargee Dutta, Soumya Mukherjee and Utpal Pal. They visited the home and interacted with the children and handed over the goods.
