Seminar on Menstrual Hygiene at our Interact Girls School
A Seminar was held at our Interact School, Children Welfare Association High School for Girls at Sarsuna Area Kolkata. The seminar was attended by girls of Standard 7 and 8. The main speaker was our Club member Rtn. Dr. Mrs. Bandana Hom Chaudhuri. She explained to the students in lucid language the importance of following hygiene during the periods of young girls. Rtn. Dr. Mrs. Sreelekha De Bera who conducted the program also tried to remove the stigma of secrecy about periods from the minds of these young girls by stating that it is a normal biological activity in any females. Rtn. Dr. R. Hom Chowdhuri DGN also spoke on the occasion on health and proper lifestyle of girl students. A brief documentary film on the subject was shown to the students.
