"Matri Raksha"- Fights Anaemia GG 1991152 - (Camp 31)
Rotary Club of Salt Lake Metropolitan in association with Kolkata Menopause Society organised 31st Matri Raksha Camp at Purbo Patharghata Biswas Para Sishu Siksha Kendra on 1st October 2023.
Total 89 Beneficiaries were assembled by Shristi, a local organisation – Mrs Kanika and her team.
Each beneficiary underwent registration, blood sugar, haemoglobin, BP checking and consulted by doctors. Free Iron and Calcium along with Deworming was given.
According to camp analysis, 46 (52%) had haemoglobin level below 12 mg. /dl and 20 (22.5%) had severe anaemia (<10 mg.). Around 10 (11.2%) patients were suffering from Diabetes, 12 (13.5%) patients were suffering from Hypertensive and referred to physician for further management and sixteen women were advised for ultrasonography.
