Rotary India Literacy Mission for adult literacy in Haroah.
On the 26th of August 2023 Rotary club of Calcutta Avyanna initiated the adult literacy program in association with Nir Ideal Home for mentally retarded and associated disability. 9 Vidya centers were started with 389 adult learners. The centers were inaugurated in Haroa north 24 parganas. At the vidya center 1 teacher teaches many transforming the lives of participants through a 60 minutes classroom session done 5 days a week over a period of 2 to 3 months. This was a unique low cost and high impact program and would transform the lives of many and their future generations too.
