Distribution of Clothes and Sports items to residents of Dhaska--- a remote village of Purulia on the occasion of Durga Puja Festival
RC of Calcutta Sun City jointly with Kolkata Hridam, a south Kolkata based NGO visited a remote tribal village in Purulia called Dhaska. Lots of activities like water harvesting by making ponds, Setting up of a School, Training the young in sports has already been taken up for this village and surrounding areas. On 15th October, 2023 Calcutta Sun City and Kolkata Hridam jointly distributed the Clothes for all 40 families residing in the village and sports items like Football, Archery equipment like Targets, Arrows etc meant to keep the young people of the village healthy. Musical equipment like Flute was also distributed for tapping musical talents among the villagers. Lunch was served to all and a movie was shown to the villagers in the evening for their entertainment. The purpose was to have an all round development of the Dhaska villagers as a sustainable long term project.
