Blood Donation Camp and Thalassemia Awareness at our Interact School at Madhyamgram
Our Interact members of Nabajiban Colony Nabajiban Vidyamandir (H.S.) arranged a Blood Donation Camp in their school. It was attended by many dignitaries. It was presided over by Shri Sandipan Sarbagna, Assistant Instructor, of School Board. Head Master Shri Abhijit Mukherjee welcomed all the guests and talked about importance of blood donation. Club President Rtn. Anit Guhathakurta talked about role of Rotary in various fields of Charities and eradication of diseases like Polio. Rtn. Srilekha Bera gave a speech on Thalassemia Awareness in a very simple manner for the students to grasp the essence of how to prevent or eradicate this dreadful disease called "Thalassemia". Dr. Subhendu Dey from Jhargram Hospital was present on the occasion.
