Cervical Cancer Awareness and Detection Camp
As part of the District focus area of ‘Mother & Child Care’ for the month of July 2023, Rotary Club of Calcutta Dalhousie organised a Cervical Cancer awareness and detection Camp in association with Spandan Sonderam Sunderban conducted by CNCI on at Sanjay Pally,Canning , 24 Parganas(S).
Cervical cancer is the commonest malignancy among women in developing countries. It is the most common malignancy among women in India and second most common form of cancer in the world as a whole. There is a high mortality rate with cervical cancer due to late diagnosis, among the rural women population.
In order to create awareness among the underprivileged rural women and to facilitate early detection, Rotary Club of Calcutta Dalhousie arranged the Cervical Cancer awareness and detection Camp.
