Thalassemia Awareness Program held in Girls School
Rotary Club of Calcutta Sun City District 3291 organized a Thalassemia Awareness Program at Jadavpur Sammilita Balika Vidyalaya. Rtn. Dr. Ramendu Hom Chowdhury explained the causes, treatments and preventive measures and other related Socio-economic aspect of this dreaded disease in a student friendly lucid language. This lecture was followed by an interactive session. At the end of the Program Club President Rtn. Anit Guhathakurta concluded the session with promises to have more such interaction with the School. Rtn. Dr. Apurbo Ghosh inaugurated a Table Tennis Board donated by Rtn. Dr. Sreelekha De Bera to the School. The girl students were very excited and the hospitality of the teachers need a special mention.
