"Matri Raksha"- Fights Anaemia GG 1991152 - (Camp 27)
27th Matri Raksha camp was organised by RC Salt Lake Metropolitan on 20th August 2023 at Karatberia, Rajapur, Howrah, in association with RC of Kolkata Galaxy and organised by Bharat Seba Brati Mahasangha.
Total 122 patients got registered in this camp. Each woman underwent Haemoglobin, Sugar and blood pressure screening and were checked by Rtn. Dr Arun Kumar from RC Kolkata Galaxy.
Every women having haemoglobin below 12 mg. /dl received free Iron tablets for 2 to 6 months as advised and few patients received deworm & calcium tablets as per requirement along with nutritional booklet.
According to camp analysis, 84 (69%) had haemoglobin level below 12 mg. /dl and 47 (38.5%) had severe anaemia (<10 mg.) Around 9 patients (7.4%) were suffering from Diabetes (DM), 10 patients (8.2%) were Hypertensive (HTN) and referred to physician.
