"Matri Raksha"- Fights Anaemia GG 1991152 - (Camp 25)
On the Independence Day, Rotary Club of Salt Lake Metropolitan Kolkata organized the 25th Matri Raksha Camp under GG 1991152 at Gadkhali, Sundarban in association with Young Indians in the presence of our seven club members and PDG Shyamashree Sen.
After flag hoisting we started our camp. Total No. of beneficiaries were 153 women.
All women were screened their Haemoglobin, Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure by our technical team and examined and treated by our medical team Dr. Aruna Tantia and Dr. Chaitali Roy
Every women received free Iron tablets for 2 to 6 months as advised and few patients received deworm & calcium tablets as per requirement along with nutritional booklet.
According to camp analysis 48 (31%) had haemoglobin below 12 mg./dl, 9 (5.8%) had severe anaemia (>10 mg.). Around 10 patients (6.5%) were suffering from Diabetes, 36 patients (23.5%) were Hypertensive.
