Mega Cancer Awareness Detection & Blood Donation Camp
A Mega Cancer Awareness Detection and Blood Donation Camp was jointly organized by RC Calcutta East Central & RC Calcutta Avyanna in association with Netaji Subhas Cancer Research Institute (NSCRI) supported by our RCC Manikpur Chaitali Sangha at their premises Manikpur, Harinavi, South 24 parganas on Saturday 9th September 2023 from 10AM to 1PM. The camp was inaugurated by District RCC Advisor Rtn. Jyotish Ch. Roy along with Rtn. Mandira Mukherjee(President Cal. Avyanna) Rtn. Rajesh Gupta(President Cal. East Central). The main speakers for Cancer awareness were Doctors and Oncologist from NSCRI. They gave motivational speech about how to control, detect and treat different types of cancers. In Cancer screening camp Cervical Cancer screening were done to 40nos. of women by Digital Cervicography & HPV test. About 25nos of men & women donated blood in the blood donation camp. RC Calcutta East Central arranged lunch packets for all the blood donors, Cancer detection camp participants and doctors.
Club President Rajesh Gupta, District RCC Advisor PP Jyotish Ch. Roy, PP Ranjan Jayswal, PP D. L. Rathi and Rtn. Bharati Jayswal attended the programme. Thanks to RC Calcutta Avyanna for jointly organising the camp and also thanks to RCC Manikpur Chaitali Sangha for organising the programme very nicely.
