Atmanirbhar - Vers 1
Special Projects Committee of RC Calcutta initiated ATMANIRBHAR Project, a sustainable project empowering women by Vocational training in Sewing & Stitching and Computer Education, and directly impacting income generation. In line with RIP Gordons dream of empowering women, RC Calcutta has pledged creation of of 10 such centres.The 1st ATMANIRBHAR center was opened at Metiabruz , Garen Reach with Garden Reach Alif Nagar Development Organization where 10 Singer Make sewing machines (new) & 5 new desktop computers was installed. The organization has also installed 10 sewing machines, which makes the total strength of 20 sewing machines in one center.On this 1st day, 30 women enrolled for Sewing training and 20 girls for Computer Education. Pres. Kanak and IPP Raj Agrawal, and Local Councilor Ward No -135 Mrs. Rubina Naaz inaugurated the Centre.
