Plastic Free Urbana
The club decided to make Urbana, the society it is housed in, plastic free. To start with it was decided to make it mandatory to stop using Plastic bags at the vegetable vendor stalls being put up inside the premises every morning. The club agreed with Sufal Bangla and Veg Farm to start selling Cloth Bags which are reusable and would be supplied by RCKU at a subsidized rate. The Urbana Facility Maintenance was also requested to mandate stopping usage of plastic bags and they agreed to partner us in this noble venture. The program was launched on 15th August along with the Independance day celebration.
