Raksha Bandhan is a popular and traditionally Hindu Annual rite or ceremony that is central to a festival of same name celebrated different parts of the World significantly influenced by Hindu Culture. Nobel Laureate Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore called upon Hindus and Muslims to tie rakhis on each others wrists as symbolic gesture and turned it into a socialist movement for a bigger cause
