Workshop on Menstrual Hyegine at PLC
The absence of right information and awareness subjects the female species to more judgements, but worse not taking the right care, leads to health issues. This was the main intention behind conducting the ‘Menstrual Hygiene Workshop’ for the girls at Piyali school with the help of ‘SHEABLE FOUNDATION’ that focuses on providing the information and awareness through demos and very focused activities. The team of 3 young volunteers and 2 adults, opened the session by making the 70 girls from 6th to 12th standard feel comfortable about talking on periods. They then went on to explain how maintaining hygiene is crucial and what are the to-dos and don’ts, including food, exercises required to ensure a healthy lifestyle through the monthly process. The activity of breaking the myths was done using balloons.
