Celebration of 77th Independence Day by planting trees in our Interact School
On 15th August participated in celebration of 77th Independence Day at our Interact school Nabajiban Colony Nabajiban Vidyamandir (H.S.). The program started with Flag Hoisting ceremony followed by Tree Plantation. This was followed by a brief Cultural program depicting the various stages of our struggle for independence and was filled with patriotic songs and poems remembering our heroes who sacrificed their life so that we can breathe in a free India by getting rid of our colonial rulers. At the end of the cultural program a seminar was arranged by the school where eminent rotarian of our club Dr. R. Hom Chaudhuri gave a speech on health, Thalassemia awareness and environment. Prizes were distributed to the students for extracurricular activities. The president of the Club Rtn. Anit Guhathakurta spoke on the occasion.
