World Nature Conservation Day Awareness - Special Seminar
World Nature Conservation Day was on July 28, 2023. Club arranged a Special Seminar on July 29, 2023 with speaker as Rtn Dr. Soumya Chatterjee. Dr. Chatterjee, in his speech, touched upon related topics:
1) Main purpose of celebrating this day is to create awareness among people about the importance of natural environment and its resources and the importance of protecting these
2) The theme for this year is Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining people and planet
3) Ways to celebrate this day like (a) Conduct Tree Planting, (b) Go Paperless, (c) Stop wasting water, (d) Save Trees, (e) Stop/Reduce usage of Tissue Papers etc
His speech was very well appreciated amongst the attendees.
