Rotary Model Abashon

a) MEDICAL CAMP—Free check up done by a GP and a Dermatologist. More than 100 people attended. Both the doctors are renowned practicing doctors and members of RCC SouthWest. b) VIRTUAL BLOOD BANK WAS CREATED – 12 students from the Micro Biology Department of St. Xavier’s College Kolkata conducted Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar and Blood Group Identification Tests headed by their HOD Dr.Arup Kumar Mitra, also a member of RCC South West. 40 Blood Group Testing and commitment to donate Blood for a Virtual Blood Bank was created for the residents of Madartala Slum Dwellers. c) AUDIO VISUAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME – This was organized on Health and Hygiene. d) DISINFECTING THE LOCALITY – Volunteers from the area were selected to disinfect the slum area with Bleaching Powder and Phenyl and Mosquito and Insect Repellents This is done once a month. 12 volunteers have been entrusted with the work of keeping the work in progress.
