Forest week or Aranya Saptaha is being celebrated in West Bengal. It is also called Van Mahotsab. During this week, various social activities are use to observe throughout the state in which, plantation of saplings or tree is the most important part. By this way, the practice of tree plantation is being encouraged.
RC CALCUTTA CHARNOCK CITY also took part in this Aranya Saptaha by planting tree saplings . It is done yearly at different locations . This year Tree saplings we?re planted at
Mansur Habibullah Memorial School- formerly South End School ?(50)
The students planted the saplings in the school garden & watered the plants..
They were very happy & promised to water the plants everyday.
