Seminar on Thalassemia Awareness, Detection & Prevention
This awareness seminar was conducted by Rtn. Dr. R. Hom Chowdhury, who is also DG Elect for RID3291 for the year 2025-26. The seminar was also addressed by DGND Rtn. Tapas Chatterjee in addition to many office-bearers of various Rotary Clubs of the district and at the end of the seminar it was discussed by the attendees as to how to spread this message in social media and to other parts of the Country. District RCC representatives also participated and gave suggestions as to how to involve the RCC to penetrate the rural masses. President of Calcutta Sun City Rtn. Anit Guhathakurta spoke on the importance of this seminar in the beginning. There was a discussion as to how to involve other clubs in having more HPLC tests in various parts of the District 3291 and also to establish a Day care center for Thalassemia patients.
