Mission Navodaya free coaching programme
Facilitating better education opportunities for children:
Through Rotary New Alipore & RCC’s efforts at Gosaba in Sunderban, 12 children from disadvantaged communitieshave been provided with dedicated free coaching since January 2023 to prepare for admission to prestigious government residential schools such as the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
Rotary New Alipore forms an important bridge to these schools from marginal communities. This year, through its “Mission Navodaya” free coaching programme, 3 students in cleared the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya entrance exam.
Through this pilot educational initiatives, Rotary New Alipore & the RCC works to enhance youth’s access to education with an aim to empower them to lift themselves, their communities and be able to contribute to nation building.
