Udaan- Sewing Unit for rural women
As an integral part of the Rotary Club of Kolkata Benevolences Uddan self-employment project for rural women, the club generously provided sewing machines to housewives in Bichalihata, Bongaon, North 24 Parganas.
These empowered women have since established a unit dedicated to crafting ornamental clothes for deities, enriching the essence of various occasions and festivals. Through the utilization of these sewing machines provided by the club, these industrious women are not only sustaining their livelihoods but also fostering a sense of independence and dignity.
