Donation of Mobile Blood Transportation Van
The 1st Blood Bank of Howrah district wad inaugurated. A mobile Blood Transportation Van worth Rs 10 lakhs was donated to HMC Rotary Blood Centre on 2nd March 2024. It is fully fabricated with blood storage & preservation facility to prevent blood wastage during transition from blood donation camps to the blood centre. The van can also double up as a mobile blood donation van for 1 person at a time as well as an Ambulance if required.
