Hearing aids are crucial for elderly people because they help improve their quality of life by enhancing their ability to communicate and engage with others. Untreated hearing loss can lead to social isolation, depression, cognitive decline, and even safety concerns due to difficulty hearing alarms or warnings. On March 23rd at Sahashpur Bankura in the final phase, the Rotary Club of Calcutta Kankurgachi initiated a noble project by distributing four hearing aids. These aids were developed by Professor P. Paramanik of IIT and designed by Dr. Mahuya Banerjee. Those were distributed by DG Rtn Hiralal Yadav.
